So this number appeared as a local number , and I answered. At first it was silent, and I waited a few seconds, then a lady answered. She said “hello, how are you doing today? I’m calling about your car insurance “. I said “hay, I’m good. But I don’t have a car”. And then she hung up.

I answered with several hellos with no response then suddenky a person connects (thinking...finallly!! A live one!!!) I played along because I like to waste their time. She got wise to me and hung up after I agreed and enthusiastically wanted to save money after giving a bogus zip code. So I called back but got automated Verizon message (im on Verizon) that the call could not be completed at this time. This has been happening with my other cell where caller id area code spoofing makes you think it is a local call and you are more willing to pick it up. This is my work number so now I have to think again about disregarding unknown numbers that may be work related. Freakin ****
