I have received three messages in the past two weeks referring to an Apple Account and I don't have any Apple Products. The call-back numbers given were (516) 309-4705 and (888) 491-5987. Another message was received from (800) 275-2273 and gave the 888 number as the call back number.

Indian Apple ID Scammers (Scam call) reported by


Indian callers that have English names but have heavy indian accents and this number has a Caller ID showing New York. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY FININCIAL OR PERSONAL INFORMATION OF ANY SORT. They also are spoofing the Apple Call ID Tech Support number of 800-275-2273. APPLE DOES NOT CALL ITS USERS!!! I called the number back a few times to ask them why they are trying to scam the elderly and they hang up right away.

This number has been calling my cell along with every cell on my plan stating that our Apple IDs will be blocked and unusable if we do not call and verify information. Asks to call number back. I spoke with an actual Apple representative and was informed that this in fact is a scam call. Be careful people! Never EVER give financial information or personal information over the telephone.
