Caller claiming to be from the IRS wanting to verify my social security number claiming that it was involved in some illegal activity in Texas and a warrant has been issued for my arrest.

Auto message claims my SSN is being suspended due to illegal activity in Texas. 1) Not broken any laws/done anything illegal and 2) I have never even been close to Texas

SSA scam (Scam call) reported by


I continue to receive calls from various numbers saying the SSA is going to take legal action against me due to fraudulent activity. As a freak happenstance I received 2 of these calls from the same number today and felt like screwing with someone. So, I called him. I asked for his agent ID, he was silent with lots of noise in the back ground, so once he did speak I couldn't understand what was said. I asked him to repeat it due to the excessive background noise and his accent, and he told he to “shut the (swear word) up”. I said "there it is!! The SSA would NEVER say that, d-bag" and hung up.
