They called stating they are from DEA headquarters, also connected FBI and they said I need to wire money to the courthouse or I will be arrested in the next 30 minutes

Caller gave fictitious American name. Wanted to speak with one of my providers regarding their medical license. Stated they would only speak to the physician. I pushed back stating that as the office manager, I can handle all license issues. I asked where he was calling from and he stated "DEA Headquarters." I asked why the "DEA Quarters" would have an issue with a state medical license. Caller hung up on me. It appears this is an attempt to extort money from physicians.

Called asked for one of our doctors as the DEA and I told them to send a letter. SO THEY CALLED BACK and then said they were a doctor needed to consult with the doctor regarding a patient, had no information.
