Nations Safe Drivers (Unsolicited call) reported by Deb
We have an RV repair business. We get frequent calls (at least several per month - for years) asking us to go to their stranded insured and get them back on the road. We have clearly stated MANY times over the years to these cold callers (from various agencies) that we do NOT offer roadside assistance. We are a "you come to us" shop. Not only do we not offer roadside assistance, we don't even do mechanical work. But they call again anyway the next time a motorist is in trouble on the side of the road. These "roadside assist" places do nothing more than search for RV repair in <fill in location> and start dialing until they find a place who will do as they ask. These programs (which you may or may not have PAID for) are nothing but time wasters for all involved. They waste OUR time cold calling over and over and over only to be told - again - we don't do roadside. They waste their own time calling us and then having to move on down the list. And they waste the stranded motorist's time while they do all this calling around. My advice: CUT OUT THE USELESS MIDDLE MAN and just do a search yourself. That way you communicate directly with whoever agrees to help you out.
