Yeah the contract has some errors and it’s confusing on purpose. Let me tell you a few things that’s wrong with this whole set up going on. First he was obviously friendly and sounded very professional I easily got a $300 discount from a quarter page to half page everything sounded great as well then when it came to the banking information he tried to sell me a full page ad for just $100 right there is a huge marketing game you don’t want to get yourself into no one gives discounts out that easily. Next he told me about the free design Specialists that will take care of the ad unless I have something of my own but all these gets done within a week. Problem with that is after the exchange is done you only have three days to change your mind and get your money back. So obviously all that looks fishy and then you look at the contract that they send you and it’s full of errors and it’s also saying a lot of the things that they’re not liable for so in the end you can’t even clean them as fraud or have a good case unless you really try hard at that point. Now after reading these comments and also viewing that contract I’m calling my bank and getting my money back and I will call them to see how they treat me once I want to unsubscribe. Can’t believe it was a scam! Wow there’s no way this is a real magazine Even though you they have a beautiful website that I’ve checked out. Be smart, I can’t believe I fell for “Bill Morter” or whatever his name is because it’s not even on the contract. That also just has

Got a voice mail from a very well-spoken gentleman, George Anthony, who sounds like a professional businessman. He has a very pleasant speaking voice. "Hi, Mr. _____, George Anthony here. Uh, Calling in regards to a project I'm working on regarding several of the higher equity country clubs over in the Carmel area. Looking for an entertainer to feature. I was wondering if you could give me a call. My number here is 561-570-71xx. Again that's 561-570-71xx. Thank you." By the way, Carmel is a very ritzy suburb of the capital city here. His script is very well-thought out, "Looking for an entertainer to feature." Sounded like he wanted to book me. I called him and we talked. He wanted to feature me in the magazine which is distributed to 4 country clubs in Carmel. The way he spoke, it all sounded wonderful. The price was $375 for a quarter page ad in the magazine. I gave him my bank card info. I've now looked up the number and nothing looks too bad. I think worst case, this is a magazine that nobody reads. Best case? Life & Home is the most popular magazine at country clubs. The whole point of the company is to sell marketing services, not magazines. Advertising Opprotunity in their publication. (Call centre) reported by


Asked me if I wanted to advertise my makeup business in their publications in London even though it was a Florida company, I asked for more info and they said “I’ll send you a contract, how do you want to handle payment?” And I said that I’d like time to review the contract before making a decision and they said they would call back in 20 minutes for payment. I said that that wasn’t enough time for me to review everything. He also said he would put me on hold to ask his manager to get me a better price, I was on hold for 5 seconds and they came back with the the entire “conversation” with his manager that would have taken a lot more than 5 seconds. Seems sketchy to me, even if it’s a legitimate business, this is not how advertising sales usually work for traditional media.
