When I see EMS on my caller ID, I get worried. I've got loved ones as do most of you, & seeing those 3 letters puts fear into me. I let the call go to messages, but of course there was none left there. I called the number & it's disconnected. Imagine that! I think I'll answer next time they call, (should be in an hour or two, ha-ha,) & I'll let you know what happens.

Woman "from Amazon" (Telemarketer) reported by


Caller ID says "EMS". Woman claimed to be from Amazon, claimed someone spoke to me in the past, which they didn't (she gave a specific date from six months ago), then said they take a long time to get back to people so I probably wouldn't remember. She pointed out Amazon just bought Wholefoods, owned other businesses, and she laughed at the idea they might buy Facebook next. I think she was trying to sell me Amazon marketplace, but when I told her I sell on Ebay, she asked me about Amazon Prime. I told her I had no use for that. She said her records showed I didn't have Amazon Prime the last time they called, although she was logically guessing because if I didn't have it now, I wouldn't have had it in the past. If she was from Amazon, wouldn't she already know what Amazon services I pay for? She thanked me for the time and hung up. She was very good at the call. She had my first and last name and you could hear all the other telemarketers in the background.

This number has called before on 8/3 did not answer left a blank voice mail. Today did not answer again but voicemail was definitely a Butt Dial due to 2 min message of a conversation and background noise and music. Prominent Male voice was obviously the phone owner.

The fact that is shows up as "EMS" was frightening and unsettling! I didn't answer it but allowed my answering machine to pick up, however they did NOT leave a message.

I think it was someone taping me and trying to get me to say "yes" and I never say yes when someone calls me. But he said "hello" like he could not hear me tricky like.
