Got a phone call from this number, said it was a Portsmouth NH number (I live in the region). They asked for me and I stated, "May I ask who's calling?" before saying whether or not it was me. The woman, with a Southern Accent, replied, "Oh, well, there's no message, so we'll just try back." Felt suspicious to me.

The call came through my cell phone and the caller ID showed it was a NH area code so I took it (I did not recognize the number but it didn't look suspicious). A woman answered and asked to speak with {another name}, I told her she had the wrong number. She then said, "well, maybe you could help me". I asked her "with what". She asked for a donation for Breast Cancer Outreach Center. I told her I would research the cause and get back to her. I don't know if this is a scam or simply a legitimate service but it left a bad taste in my mouth and I'm certainly not comfortable giving money to a charity through a call center (these are probably paid employees cold calling, not volunteers donating their time for a cause that is meaningful to them. If they call you just be smart, weary, and do your homework before giving money or even giving them additional information about yourself.

Called my cell phone asking for someone by another name, then asked if I could help them. The lady calling from Alabama said she was with Breast Cancer Outreach Center. I told her to hold on while I check the charity's rating, only to find out the charity is under investigation and less than 10 cents on the dollar goes to any charity. Don't donate to this charity unless you are ok with most of the money going to the call center that roped you into donating.

They called but I was asleep at the time so I didn't speak to anyone. Hey left no message. I was expecting a call from a company regarding a job I applied for, so I looked up the number to see. Disappointing.
