This number belongs to CBV collections located in Burnaby, BC. It is best to block them and do not answer. They are quite aggressive in their tactics and will often try to use empty threats in order to intimidate you into paying a past due account, which may or may not be yours, which has passed the statute of limitations. They buy up old debts and use strong arm tactics to try and force you to pay. Best thing to do is simply not answer.

Called me 3 times in a day saying they are looking for XXX. The name was very similar to mine, but not exactly my name. The woman who spoke to me has a very bad attitude.My phone automatically recognized this number as "suspected spam".

They leave an automated message that sounds really threatening saying that they've mailed out sensitive documents that need me to sign off on or something. Pretty sure just a debt collector

I couldn't find any info for this specific number, but there are two facts: people do search for this number which can be seen from different similar pages, and there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. Probably calling with different offers for different companies, but for sure some general call center. I recommend to block the whole 6042965xxx range... Did someone answer any number of this range?
