Individual harasser w/ real estate scam (Nuisance call) reported by FEDUPBOB
This young man has called our residence repeatedly (and also once phoned the residence of a relative for the same purpose) claiming that he is is calling to inquire about purchasing apartment buildings that we supposedly have for sale — We DO NOT have (and NEVER have had) any such buildings in our possession or for sale, nor do we have any other property or real estate for sale (which he was told by my relative). But despite that, he has resorted to calling my home w/ the same rhetoric & inquiry for about 5 months now, despite no one ever answering the phone or ever returning his calls. Who does that if they were really inquiring about property? Wouldn’t you get the hint after calling twice & no one called you back? At this point, we’ve received about 30 calls or so from him, inquiring about the same thing repeatedly. But a few times he has called & becomes very creepy leaving a message where he just calls out my name several times, saying “Are you there? Are you there?”. He claimed to be from Ohio my relative thought & his supposed name comes up on the caller ID, but I believe that it is all fake (his name & his story - and likely the phone # he consistently calls from), as he is behaving more like a local stalker. BEWARE — if he starts calling you, BLOCK HIM IMMEDIATELY if you can, as he will not stop. He comes across as very charming apparently & the elderly especially could easily fall victim to whatever scam game he’s playing. Look out for the name Nathaniel Augen or Nathaniel Augenstein, as that is the name he is going by (which may or may not be authentic). Either way, he has been beyond harassing and is highly suspicious, since no reasonable people would ever hound someone that they truly hoped to ever really do business with (which is why I know he is scamming, not to mention that we never had any apartments for sale to begin with!).
