With the "stimulus" the scammers are out in forces and this call is no exception, pretending to "be" a subscription agency or "hearing officer" or some collection agency saying they are going to "bill" your account, but this is just the latest scam. This is NOT the actual company listed if one appears. This is a SCAM and likely an OFFSHORE THEFT RING. Remember, NO legitimate company will ask for gift cards or for money to be sent immediately, or for ANY personal information over the phone. Marked as a major THEFT ring by many carriers. Don't answer! Hang up! CAREFUL: This operation will begin sending you fake messages as well --Amazon order ready, confirming car appt., PayPal charge-- ALL are fake. Don't answer, open, or click on any link Just delete or they'll take you number...they are relentless often changing thousands of numbers and calling many times each day... it's robocalling. DO NOT PICK UP.

Called my cell phone & when answered called me by name & asked me to press 5 if I still lived at my current address...I pressed 5 & recording stated I would receive a VERY IMPORTANT CALL...called the number back & received a 'number is not in service' recording...typical BS call trying to extort information...immediately blocked the number...called on a Saturday afternoon...

voicemail - "if xxx doesn't live here, just hang up and we won't bother you again." Don't answer, just block it. You can only fight these constant spam/scam calls by ignoring, blocking, not answering numbers you don't recognize. If it's legit, they'll leave a voicemail.

It asked for verification of my last name to see if I still lived here. Odd as the name was close, but not mine when I checked on a number it was a California number.
