Claimed overdue advocate bill & wanted info. I DONT HAVE A BILL! (Scam call) reported by


Number has called me at least 14 times since January claiming I have an overdue bill from Advocate and threatening collections.I usually ignore it, but I have answered it a few times. Mostly they try to place me on hold and tell me to wait for the next available rep. I've hung up in that situation. Twice a person asked me to verify my personal information. I give them no such information. Also, I do not have an advocate medical bill so there's that.

Didn’t answer but called back the number on the voicemail. They said they were from Advocate Health but the account numbers didn’t match and phone number was different. She asked me to confirm address and name but I said I’ll call the number on my bill.

The person called said she is from advocate health and asked for address and DOB of the patient. She gave a detailed information about the date and type of the visit made and asked if I was willing to do the payment now. I disconnected the call and looked for the number online and found it to be spam.

Before they said hello and realized I answered, I could overhear the caller talking about how they were going to proceed with the call (who they pretended to be). They called, mumbled something and then asked for my birthday and address to verify my account. They claimed to be from Advocate Health. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!
