The man claimed to be a "Nick" - this was the conversation. "Nick": Good morning, can I speak to someone in IT? Me: May I say who's calling? Nick: Yes, my name is Nick. I need to speak with someone in IT, can you transfer me? Me: Can I ask the reason for your call today? Nick: Yes I am calling from Spectrum and I'm following up on a call. Can you please transfer me? Me: Can you tell me who you're looking for? You indicated you're following up on a call. Nick: Yes, it's for (gives me a random name of someone who doesn't work for my office) Me: Sir, I don't have anyone here by that name. You said you're calling from Spectrum? And you're following up on a call? Who did you speak with? Nick: Can you just transfer me? I need to speak with someone in IT. I ended up disconnecting the call. Total scam call.

PSE&G to confirm "Rate Change" (Scam call) reported by


Male caller with thick foreign accent kept telling me he needed my confirmation to change what my gas and electric company charges me per unit, explaining it was a being changed to a rate that was a yearly average. I told him I had to leave for work and to call me later that evening. This time he called from ph # 000-000-0000. I told him I couldn't talk at the time and if there was a number I could call him at. He said "No, there is no way to reach me" With that I told him this was all very suspicious and hung up. I then dialed the number he called from in the morning, 631-230-3732 and got a loud screeching noise then a recording that the number was not in service.
