Scam call reported by cash advance america/legal dept
This A SCAM! first they called to leave a message saying that I better return the call. I didn't. They called me at least 15 times in an hour. They all have heavy foreign accents but simple English names. I talked to several different people, today and yesterday just so I could gather more Intel about their operation to save someone from becoming a victim. They told me that I owe United States Credit Services roughly 5K (I don't) but they said if I'm honest with them, they will try and help me before they execute the affidavit sitting before them(yeah right) so, I played along. She wanted me to send a copy of my drivers license to them along with a letter that she told me to write down word for word. This was another red flag. They called me first thing this morning wanting to know where the email was. I said that there's no way I'm sending you a picture of my DL! Well, you are now speaking with the senior lawyer so I didn't need to do that all of a sudden. They said I'm order to prevent this affidavit from being executed, I was to get them a money gram from Walmart and it had to be the 10 min kind in the amount of $942. To James Walker in the state of IL but with a NY address (another red flag) after I had all the information I needed to file an official complaint, I informed them that I knew it was a scam and they told me that I better be scared of what they will do. Said they will seize all of my paychecks, my DL, I wouldn't be able to get any loans and they'd freeze my checking account. I started cussing him out and he cussed me right back. I told him there's no way he could do that, I don't owe money to anyone, and he should stop ripping off Americans and get a real job or go back to where he came from. He threatened me, told me I'd better fear him. I told him bleep bleep, and hung up. NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU, DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OUT.
