This number is a scam! Claim to be from Microsoft advising that computer has virus and needs to be fixed. Told caller to standby while I got notepaper and pen. Kept him on for 5 minutes before returning. He was still on and very frustrated. I then hung up on him!

646-588-1773 is a scam. This New York number shows up in our caller ID. They have called numerous times. The guy (foreigner, doesn't speak clearly) asks for my husband. I answered the call and was ready for him. I played along and pretended to be my husband. The guy was claiming to be from Microsoft and needed to fix my computer. At the end the guy asked what I saw on my computer and I told him nothing because you are a scam and trying to get my money & I will report you. He immediately hung up. It was fun stringing him along.

This is a computer scam. These folks are trying to get personal information from you and/or hijack your computer. Microsoft does not make unsolicited phone calls to anyone. Don't answer the phone if you don't recognize the phone number. Another good indication of scam or telemarketer is they never leave a message. Please beware!
