synthetic female voice claiming to be IRS (Scam call) reported by


The message left is that I am subject to a lawsuit by the IRS in County Court if I do not call the number back immediately. Obvious scam since the IRS does not call nor sues in normal federal court.

Recording was a computerized stilted recording claiming someone filed a lawsuit against "my name" and I needed to respond to the county court case at this number. I don't know anyone who lives in NY which is why I didn't answer in the first place. Plus the number most certainly doesn't call a courthouse.

They left a voicemail saying the same thing the automated thing said when I answered. They're saying a suit has been filed under our name, and to call them back at the same number they're calling from before they send the info to the county court house. I called back, it rings, and then when it "answers" it's just silent. Nothing happens.

Calls with a recording saying that I have been approved for a loan, one which I did not apply for, and to please call back at this number. I called back and told them to never call me again. We'll see what happens.
