Claimed to be calling on behalf of Amazon and offered my company a free Amazon business account. I thought it was a bit sketchy and told him to email me (so I could see the domain in his email address to legitimize the offer or not), but I never received an email.

Indian accent, did not catch his name even though I recorded the call. Said he was from Prominent IT Services which does not seem to exist. He only asked if I worked for the company I work for, did not accept a "yeah" for an answer so he repeated the question and hung up right away after I gave a clear "yes". From the background noise he was probably in a call center. My guess is that the purpose is to add metadata to some cold call database that is being sold somewhere.

Some guy called Aman called to ask questions on which international delivery companies our company uses. He was specifically trying to find out if we use UPS but when I said no, he wanted to end the survey. Going by the other reports below, I will now block this number.

Missed 13 calls (Nuisance call) reported by


I was in a meeting today with my boss. When I got back to my desk, I noticed we had 13 missed calls. Nothing too unusual until I realized it was all the same number - 646-712-9873. Not only did I have several missed calls but this person called once every minute for 13 minutes. Glad I didn't answer. If it continues, I will be sure to have IT block this number. My advice - Don't answer.
