I currently work for Amazon and this number along with various numbers are scam numbers. Just a heads up the ONLY WAY that Amazon will call you is if you request us too. Every type of communication is through e-mail only.

I got the same scam call today 8/08/2019. Said they were Amazon and I had made a 77.99 purchase. Checked Amazon and no purchase showed. I will contact Amazon and alert them.

Same as others, just got bogus call claiming possible fraudulent charge - have this number to confirm the order... checked my account online and nothing appears. FRAUD - do not call back!

Bad machine voice claiming to be "Alice from Amazon customer support" calling about "your today's purchase on amazon.com" and that I have been charged $77.99 on my Visa card. If I "have not made any such transactions" then I am supposed to call Amazon support right away at this number. I don't have a Visa card, and this number is a cell phone in New York City.
