Received call stating IRS has a lawsuit against me. To either call them at this number or go to the IRS office near me. It was after hours so I called . They answered as IRS can I help. I told them what the voice mail was, they asked me for my name. He had a foreign accent and plenty of noise behind him. I asked what address he was at. He quickly stated an address with street number and name and said Washington, D.C. I was still Leary, so I ask him how I know if he is really from the IRS? His answer was that it was not his job to convince me he was the IRS and if I didn't believe him, I should just hang up now. I paused a second thinking, and then he said I should hang up and then he hung up. Definitely a scam call. Do not give them any inform

Scam IRS call placed from India. (Debt collector) reported by


I received a message on my recorder to cal back. It was supposedly the IRS. I called back and heard the background noise of a very busy call center. Everyone had an Indian accent. When I called the scammer knew my full name, which made me cringe. I had a few choice words for the scammer and hung up.
