Hey look fake warranty calls, oldest trick in the book! (Scam call) reported by


Got a call from this number saying that my car's warranty expired and that this was the final mercy call. First off, this car is 15 years old and never needed a warranty since it has less than 100k miles on it. Second, the company didn't give me any information about the warranty, and they requested information on the car that has an allegedly expired warranty. Imagine if you were summoned to renew your warranty and they asked "hey, what did you come here for again?" Third, they required information from me, no questions asked. First thing they asked after the make and model was my address. If they sent me a warning in the mail, they already know my address - but of course, they didn't, so they don't. Fourth, the one in the call was obviously a very bad liar. He couldn't tell me anything about the renewal process or why he needed my information like zip code, meaning he was either a lackey, or a liar. You can guess which. The background was noisy, his mic quality was bad, he needed me to tell him my mileage four times before he understood I wasn't talking about the price of the car ("53,000 miles." "I'm not asking for the price of the car, I'm asking about the mileage."), and he sounded like a * dope. He knows he's bu*itting, and he's bad at masking it. 0/10 he doesn't just contribute nothing to society, he contributes negatively to it. He's worse than nothing. F*k this guy.
