Steven with PCI HIPPA called and knew my name and that I was in charge of the front office, he must have called before and received that info. from our intern, because I've not spoken with him before. He was very pushy insisting that I log on and he guide me through my mandatory PCI HIPPA compliance ASAP. I was very busy and distracted, I did not reply to him immediately and he insisted that I really needed his help because it seems like I'm not at all familiar with the PCI HIPPA laws. I told him that I'm busy and I don't have time for him, he insisted he call back when I'm available. Very rude and pushy.

We had the same experience everyone else did, got the call, had to go online to answer about 50 questions and then had to make an appointment a few days later to have some 23 page review sent to us to add to our hipaa book. I set up the appointment and the boss saw the pending review, did some investigation and found all of the negative reviews and asked me to cancel the appointment. I emailed them and stated our telephone meeting was cancelled, yet, he still called acting like he did not get my cancelling our appointment email. When I told him that I emailed them to cancel, he immediately got a defensive tone and asked why would we cancel. I told him because we read bad reviews of pcihipaa and he chuckled and said he didn't know about that and that we need to have the review completed. I told him I was told to cancel the appt by the boss man and he replied he wasn't trying to argue with me but......then I hung up. He didn't call back, that should tell you too it's crap and absolutely not mandatory that THEY complete any review.

My wife and I own a chiropractic office. I normally do not answering the phone but was stuck there at lunch while she went to an appointment. A woman (Autumn) stated we needed to be assessed for Hipaa compliance. She directed me to a website and stayed on the line while I did it. While I don't believe she told me she was from a government agency I felt as though she had already talked with someone in my office... as if we have gone through this process before. As I typed in the website it brought up the rest of it automatically making me think the site had been accessed from our office before. I answered the questions (probably about 50 of them) that let you know about your risk for Hipaa rules and regulations. When my wife came back she told me she had never done anything and that's when I suspected this was a company selling services to help with Hipaa compliance. Not saying they probably couldn't help with improving our safety but I do feel it was misleading. She made me feel as though this was some mandatory thing we need to do and pushed me to have a 30 minute scheduled appointment in a few days when my wife was in the office. My wife does not want to take the call and to be frank neither do I.

Rep called our office, stated they were calling regarding HIPAA compliance. I told the receptionist to take a message and I can call back. They hung up and would not leave a message. I feel this is either an unsolicited sales/scam call. I will not call them back.

After answering this call from Nevada, I quizzed the rep and he said for me to log onto their web site, I said, if you can email me some information in regards to this being mandatory I will be glad to help you. When I gave him my email addy and he asked me to spell perio, I hung up.

HE WANTED FOR ME TO GO ONLINE AND FILL OUT ALL PERSONAL INFO AND THAT THIS IS MANDATORY FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH HE ASLO SAID THAT I COULD REACH HIM AT 877-916-3344 X 0014. OF COURSE WE KNOW THIS A HUGE SCAM. AS HE IS TALKING IM RESEARCHING ALL THIS INFO AND CAME ACCROSS THIS.

This number called this morning and hung up as soon as I spoke. They called a bit later telling me I had to update my HIPPA compliance and that it was federally mandated. He tried to get me to open my web browser and I said, "you know what, I'm not interested, but thank you." At which point he says, "Oh ma'am I don't think you understand, this is federally mandated, this is a requirement." To which I again said, "I don't like to work with third parties, so I'm not interested, thank you." As soon as he kept talking about it being required I hung up. Don't trust this annoying scam.

We are contacted up to 10 times a day by this number. The person states this is not a sales call and they are calling because we need update our HIPAA compliance to be in line with the "new federal mandate" THIS IS A COMPANY SELLING SERVICES. I was able to reach by looking up PCIHIPPA.COM. Their phone number is 800-588-0254. I was transferred to a person called Maria. Maria knew who I was by name without me providing the info to her, I requested to be placed on the DO NOT CALL LIST, and she stated she would do that. She then said that they record all of the calls and she would review the call to make sure the representative was not being rude. I told her I didn't care what she did, but bottom line we did not to receive any further calls from their company. The number that comes up on the caller ID when they call is 702-829-3335. The number they want us to call them back is 877-916-3344 ext 1818. The number I found on their company website is 800-588-0254 and the company I emailed them and requested written confirmation our practice was placed on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Ed called several times trying to get me to log onto their website to make sure our company is PCI HIPAA compliant. Offering free service "because millions of health care providers failed to remain HIPAA compliant so they are conducting reviews for free". Wants me to let him remote in. Yeah right. First rule to remain HIPAA compliant. DO NOT allow some random caller log in to your computer remotely and put your company and patients at risk. Total scam. To get him to stop calling I told him we are already HIPAA compliant and have someone come in annually that we work with to review all matters in person. Someone we know and trust. Do NOT fall for his scam and friendly demeanor.
