B. Thompson says it's about student loan repayment and things have changed and needs to discuss. Call her back at 866-790-9969 with some reference number. Big time scam! Don't fall for it. It sounds legit!

I received a voicemail from a woman who calls herself Betty Thompson. She said she needed to discuss repayment options for my federal student loans because "things have changed." She gave me a reference # to use when I call back. My loan company always sends me updates via mail and e-mail and I haven't received anything so I know it's a scam. Also, obviously this same person has contacted several other people who don't even have student loans.

She gave a reference number and asked for me to call 866-790-9969. I don't have a federal student loan. I checked out the number provided, and traced it to eHubcap.com. I performed reverse lookup on the originating number and found the information below.

Caller had pleasant voice, named, stated that she had some updates on my federal student loan as "things have changed" and wanted to discuss repayment options. She gave a reference number and asked for me to call 866-974-6260. So glad I checked this b/c I am in process of transferring my student loan so I legitimately thought it was in relation to my application. Based on the below, I won't be calling her back. Thanks all!
