Scam call reported by David Hampton with Oracle Group Law Firm
David Hampton with Oracle Group Law Firm called me saying there were serious allegations against me and that his company served the City of (where I live). Once I was on the phone with him, he said I sounded like a nice young lady and that I don't have a criminal record so this was serious. He mentioned that check fraud was a serious crime and that papers were going to be served at my place of business. He also provided me with a citation number. He then said he was on another call and had to call me back and if I didn't answer, he wouldn't call back and that I would need an attorney. THIS IS A SCAM. I do NOT have any issues with the City and my criminal record is clean. He had contacted both of my parents and knew their dates of birth, last names, and my mom's maiden name. He knew my birth date and social security number as well. The citation number that he gave me was the same one he gave to my parents. My mother is an attorney and has CONFIRMED this is a scam. He was very defensive when I asked for him to confirm his company and how he has my information. He was very quick to say I was giving him an attitude and that I should listen to him because he is trying to help me. This number is based in NY and I live in TX.
