Unsolicited window replacementpitch from Renewal by Anderson (Company) reported by jmoney
They claimed I had inquired about 5 new windows from them and I had not. When I tried to end the conversation, the salesperson began countering with classic sales cold call techniques. I felt bad hanging up because such jobs are invariably, ultimately more psychologically damaging to the person who, through the incurious arbitrations of life is lead down that path than the hang upper. I had recently contracted with a small local company for some window work, so I don't know if it was a spooky coincidence or if they pay money for scammy 3rd party data surveillance over that other company's business via some exposed, or federated b2b system. I put the balance of probability toward the latter. I didn't check the number before answering because I have been making other local outbound calls recently and don't remember all the numbers, so the confluence of circumstance and the probable insinuation with pilfered data means I'll go from "probably mistrust that company for going so hard with advertizing" to straight up telling everyone I know who may ever at any time in the future to "OMG! Stay away from Renewal by Anderson."
