These are coming through labeled as restricted now. Nearly answered it as I'm going through a child custody battle and the courthouse calls on a restricted number. Good thing I let it go to voicemail, I remembered it was Wednesday and not Friday, when our court holds family cases.

High volume of daily calls from different numbers telling me my loan qualifies for loan forgiveness to call and talk to "Jessica" or "Jackie Armstrong" cant get a hold of anyone when i call back - numbers are not in service but there is always an alternative number to contact them on. I do not have a student loan and this just lead to concerns about someone else misusing my information for a loan. So frustrating.

This "loan agency" keeps calling from a private number which a real federal loan agency wouldn't do. They keep pushing back the date for my eligability for loan forgiveness. I've never inquired about getting loan forgiveness for my school loans. Only teachers, military vets, and public service employees are eligible and I am neither of these. They've also texted me from a 411411 number. Don't buy into it its a scam!

Received a call and voicemail from 213-915-8490. They said that my student loan forgiveness has been extended to 8-31-17 and said to call, 760-270-9067. This have received the same message from multiple numbers and have blocked them but they keep calling on different numbers. This is a scam and it is extremely frustrating and concerning.

Continuously calls me (Service) reported by


The company continuously calls me from several different numbers. I would get calls starting at 7am. They usually don't leave a message if I miss the call, but today they did. They left a voicemail stating my forgiveness program was extended until July 31st and asked me to return their call. I have had to block all the other numbers they call from because they call so much while I am at work that my phone battery dies. I never pick up the call, but the last time I did I let them give their pitch and as they asked for my credit card number, I politely asked to be removed from their calling list. The caller quickly hung up on me.

I get one or two calls a day from various numbers, directing me to this call center number. I have no student loans, have asked them to remove me and they state there are many companies doing this program. But, all direct me back to them. They would also not tell me who sold them my name. If I find out, I will wage all out war for this daily intrusion.

STUDENT LOAN ADVISORY BOARD SCAM (Scam call) reported by


Initially, I received a call from a company claiming to be a Student Loan Advisory Board, asking me to provide them with the amount of my student loan debt and they would call me back. Then, I received a call from 213-915-8460 with a message that the Student Loan Forgiveness program has been extended through 07/31/2017 and to call back 760-270-9067. I posted the number for review and see this phone number has been flagged as a Student Loan Scam. I will not call it back. The only party's that should contact anyone should be able to refer you to nslds.gov or nslds.ed.gov or fsa.gov. William D. Ford/Department of Education really should be the only ones contacting you on student loan debt...unless you have re-financed your debt through consolidation with a 3rd party servicer.

Call was initially from 213-915-8460, I responded to message to call back to 760-270-9067. Auto attendant answered and said call was being transferred. Call was dropped. Tried back two times with same results. I am sure this is part of the student loan scam.

A voicemail was left from (310) 929-2649 calling themselves the "Student Loan Advisory Board" saying I only have until July 31st to sign up for Student Loan Forgiveness and to please call them back immediately at (760) 270-9067. I called them and this guy 'Taylor' started grilling me for information before even saying his name or organization. After two questions, I asked him if he can tell me a little about his organization since I can't find them online. He replied "well thanks for doing some detective work but I need to finish your information before we can continue". I asked why he cant share a website name or anything about the company and he said "so let me get this straight, you're not gonna answer my question?" and then hung up. I called them back again and the same Taylor picked up. I asked for a supervisor and he said "Oh, you're the guy who just called. I'm the supervisor and I'm the only one working in the office. Thanks buddy" and hung up again. This bs continued for a few more calls (most of them ended the call while connecting) until Shawn picked up who told me he also was a supervisor and said their website is studentloanadvisory.com which I promptly told him doesn't exist and if he can double check that address. He said to wait just a minute and the call ended and my number was blocked. This is the most obvious scam I've ever seen. Always ask for basic information (and investigate it) before giving any of your's out. I highly suggest calling this number and seeing how bad they are yourself.

EDIT

The original call was from (213) 915-8460, not (310) 929-2649. The (310) number was also a student loan service and called within an hour of the scammers. My bad! The (310) SLRC people were very professional and not affiliated with this scam.
