Have received a call from this number about 10 times in four hours claiming that there was a breach in my Apple account. Spoke to a live person nine of the 10 times and ask for them to stop calling. They have continued to call and annoying me all have received a call from this number about 10 times in four hours claiming that there was a breach in my Apple account. Spoke to a live person, Who thanked me for calling technical support when I said that I have not called and would appreciate if they stop calling me they proceeded to become nasty, but that calls still continued.

This is technically a number of the Apple Store in Encino, Ca. However, it is being used to attempt to defraud. The fraudsters are using a simple program (or APP) that tricks your caller ID. If you get a call from this number claiming that their is a problem or they need to confirm your information do not. Apple does not call you out of the blue from a specific retail store to tell you that there is a problem with your Apple ID (or some other such nonsense). The best thing to do is advice the person you will call back and call 1 800 My Apple. That way you know you are talking to someone that actually works for Apple.
