Calling about Social Security important matter. I think scam (Call centre) reported by


VM was cut off but it sounded like a pre-recorded message because a live person wouldn't start speaking until VM was ready to record. It started recording midway when the message was leaving the phone number stating it was an important matter with Social Security. I think it is a scam.

They told me they have been trying to contact me since last year due to unpaid taxes or “tax evasion” as they said. When I replied that I never got anything from the IRS they said they tried and they are the fraud investigation and they gave me my address from 6-7 years ago (Inmoved twice already but they didn’t have my current information). After a long talk and him trying to explain and me trying to understand because of his heavy indian accent, he said he was going to talk to the council members to ask if I could get on a payment plan and cancel my warrant (very fishy!) finally he came back to the line and asked me for $300!!!
