After calling and leaving about 5 messages in a robotic voice all saying that this is a last attempted to get in contact with me before filing charges from the IRS, so when I called the "direct line" number they left to find out more information and this foreign accent lady answered and started to ask me for my information, when I questioned her about something she clearly didn't know what to do and said that she would talk to her supervisor about my case and will call me back and hung up quickly, after an hour I knew something was up and checked the number I had called in Google searcher it and then found out that it was a scam and it was reported on by many other people as well, so if and when they call back I will let them know that the number has been reported to the FBI in Chicago for impersonating a federal employee and they have traced that number to a location and will be coming to arrest them and have a search warrant to seize all files and computers.

Claimed to be IRS and a lawsuit was filed against me. When I called the number back she asked for my information and I refused to give it to her. She said the cops will be at my front door in 45 minutes. Total scam and do not give them an information. IRS will contact you by letter if you owe them anything and they will do that for months. Not call you by phone and threaten you. All 3 individuals I spoke to were women and foreign speaking and all hung up on me.

Foreign accent woman called stating that they are the IRS and that a lawsuit was being filed against me for taxes owed. I gave her an incorrect address just to see if she had my information in front of her and she read off some information she claimed to be mine. When I told her that was not my address I used on my tax return and that I thought it was a scam she hung up. I called back a guy with a foreign accent as well answered and started with the same spill telling me I had a lawsuit against me. When I told him I just got hung up on from some one there and again said it was a scam he said no this is the FBI not the IRS and hung up on me. Called back a couple more times and each time I call from my phone they hang up. Called from my office phone and they answered with the same spill again. Once I said who I was then they hung up of course. Please do not give these people any of your personal info or any money. I spoke with the IRS and they confirmed they are scammers.

They pretend to be the IRS saying you're under investigation in order to try to get some money from you. When I questioned how I knew they were the IRS they got mad and said they couldn't talk anymore to me and authorities would be at my house in 45 minutes. Of course no one came to my house cause it's a scam.
