If you don't want them calling you, pay your bills. This is from Jefferson Financial debt they sold to Unifin. They sent me an email with all the info I asked for. I paid the debt I owed. Not 3 weeks later, the debt was off my credit after settling for a less amount. This is NOT a scam. I will say something that is shady as hell, they do give you your ssn over the phone before you even have a chance to say anything. That is NOT good practice and BBB should be reported of this.

I missed the call,then called back from of office phone. The person who answered did not state the company, but asked my name. I asked what company she was with, and she told me she could not share who she was with until she verified my identity. I told her to have a good day.

Caller attempting to gather my personal info including my SS# And DOB. Claims they sent me a letter, and "don't try to claim ya didn't get it, we sent it" in a "scolding" tone. I hung up after telling him if I owe something, send me the bill in the mail.

No, it’s a company called Unison. They’re a debt collector. Jefferson sells your info to them if you don’t settle with them first. Unison is terrible the guy gave me the last 4 of my social before I had a chance to tell him. They are giving people’s personal information to people w/o knowing who they are!!! I have NOT received a letter from Unison telling me how much I owe them which is in direct violation of the law. They have 5 days to send you a later informing you of the debt you supposedly owe. They have not done this so I will not talk to them again until they do. They seem like scam artists to me. The GM hung up on me and I didn’t as hung up 2 times before they put the “GM” on the phone. They are extremely unprofessional. This better not end up on my credit report
