they're a collection agency trying to get info on a family member. Sending a 'cease contact' written letter. Under FDCPA Federal law requesting to cease all communications to person they are trying to reach or family members, and work, they are no longer allowed to make contact.

This number calls and starts asking you for personal information, first claiming it's for a credit dispute, then changing their tune and saying they want to discuss an important business matter with you. The entire thing is a scam to get your personal information. I have no debts and they have no reason to be calling me, and they refuse to say who they are representing. When I told them that I would not provide them with any personal information unless they told me who they were representing, they hung up.

Said this was on a recorded line and asked for me (my name). I said yes and they told me it was an attempt to collect a dept. Which I know I do not have any. I asked which company are you working for. CCS. I then said which company is the dept collection for. They wouldn't answer me. It more than likely is a scam. Be careful!

Called and asked for me by name including my middle initial. Not hard to find that info. I asked who they are, "CCS." I am 3000 miles from Massachusetts. Asked who they are and they will not reply. anything other than CCS. Did say "We deal with a number of business and personal issues and without verifying who I am talking to I cannot say anything more." To which I said without identifying who you are I cannot allow the call to be transferred (to me). the discontinued the call. I have nothing derogatory or in collections, I checked my credit report and have nothing erroneous there either.

Asked me for address and confirm my phone number and she said a recorded line and said its an attempt to collect a debt and I was furious. so she hung up on me.

Caller ID said "CCS Offices." Man (computer?) immediately demanded my address "for verification." I refused, saying I didnt know who he was, he demanded my address several times, refusing to tell me who HE was. When I got mad, he finally said he was a credit collection agency. Then he said "Nationwide." I said no collection agency should be calling me, he got snippy and said I had the right to refuse to give out my address. I said, yeah, I refuse. "Have a good day" he said. The call came at 5:30 p.m. on a Saturday.
