I recently changed my number and I haven’t used any Microsoft products in 10+ years. I called Microsoft anyway and they said it’s a scam that they don’t reach out by phone like that. These scammers need to be punished! Locked up and starved!

They are claiming to be microsoft and want access to your computer. I did call the number back and talked to a real person but when he wanted to me to open my computer so he could help me, I hung up.

1st when I answered it was a machine saying that my computer was being used illegally. Then they send me to a "representative ". He wanted to know my name so I told him if my computer (which it hasn't been touched in about a year) was being used illegally they should know my name since they have my number,,,, he didnt response...he continued by saying that officers had contacted him that clients are using child pornography. I knew from that moment was a scam . So I told him to have officers come to my house if that was true. He ended clicking on me

This is a scam claiming to be Microsoft. They claim they are getting security issue reports. They are in fact trying to get your Windows remote access codes to steal identities, bank accounts etc. Do not answer.
