I already own a timeshare. The man claimed to work for my timeshare company. He said that as of January I could not use the "weeks" system any more to trade my week/unit for another and that I needed to buy into a "points system" with him. He then explained it would be more than $4000 to join this system. When requested to send me an email or something with the numbers and benefits he advised he was unable to send me an email. His company doesn't let him send emails??!! What company in 2018 doesn't have email and how do you expect someone to pay that kind of money when you can't put anything in writing? I didn't give any money. The next day I called my timeshare people who had no idea what I was talking about. I did a reverse search on this number and found out Advantage Travel is the name of the company (so he lied about working for my timeshare) and there are several scam and ripoff reports about this travel company. Do not give any personal or financial information to anyone who calls and won't send paper or at the very least an email with the information!
