I have information about this number, i.e. 800-217-0366, not from this board, but starting from the unsolicited postcard received and then doing some investigation of it.

Postcard about vehicles protection plan (Unsolicited call) reported by Donna
I received a postcard from them addressed to my ex husband of 6yrs who has been in prison for 2 yrs for a "plug in Prius". A Prius? That was a dead give away that this was a scam.

Same here. Somehow my vehicle purchase information was discovered by this obvious scammer. They slightly cover themselves in fine print by saying they have nothing to do with the dealer or manufacturer. I almost fell for the postcard since it mentions the dealer's name and an electrical problem that the car does have, but I know enough to realize that a good sign of it being a scam is that there is no return address. Also, the postmark is from Texas and I do not live in Texas nor purchased the car in Texas. They call themselves, "Motor Vehicles Services" which does not seem to exist. Also, it mentions about uninterrupted protection from the manufacturer warranty. Sorry, that warranty ended a decade ago. Oh, it mentions about the vehicle not having a service protection plan. Interesting since I am paying for just that gotten at the time of vehicle purchase. I am curious, though, how they got so much detail if not from the dealership? The comment just before yours also verifies that it is a scam because that one quotes what is on the postcard sent to me.
Anyway, this is definitely a scam.

Car warranty insurance (fishing scam) (Scam call) reported by Ace M
They keep calling asking for my card information and I said. I no longer own the car. So they asked me what car I have now and wanted the vin#/year/make/model. Average about 3-5calls a week. Now there sending me postcards in the mail about mechanical and electrical issues with 1-800-217-0366 and no return address at all. I just wish they would stop wasting my time.

Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have vehicle service protection for your vehicle updated. Please call us. Failure to respond by 10/7/2021, will recategorize your vehicle in our system with a new status of:
High-Risk potential "Pre-Existing" conditions with mechanical or electrical issues on the vehicle.
Neglecting to update your protection program will result in 100% out-of-pocket repair costs.
They keep sending me notices about purchasing repair or warranty protection for my car. I already have couple of repair packages with the dealer plus checked my warranty and it is ok.
Called the person who was so arrogant telling me that I do not have any protection. Therefore, he asked for over $3000 for a protection plan for my car with some suspicious company called Metrix.
Check your warranty and your protection repair plans in your documentation and call the dealer to ask about this.
Notices like that are fake and are designed to get your money!!!!
Be aware that the scammers will try many times to bother you by calling you with warning messages and push you to the limit to call. If you call, make sure you check your paperwork because they will try to sell you something you do not need or even get your money without providing anything!!!

Got a postcard with this number on it for "vehicle protection." Its not affiliated with any dealer or manufacturer. The address on the card is: 999 Corporate Dr Suite 100, Ladera Ranch, CA 92694. Claims administered by MATRIX Aministration. (Yes, with no d. Lol)
