They called me, left a voice mail of something that was a bad debt and paid through an attorney 2 years ago and I also got scammed by another company paying this bill as well. I told the person that I had paid this debt and she said that I didn't settle it, I told her WRONG! how come I have a paid in full letter from an ATTORNEY!! she put me on hold and all of the sudden came back and said "you can disregard this communication"

Lady with awful voice claiming I needed to pay the debt owed on a credit card I never had over 6yrs ago. Claimed she filed a judgment against me in my State, through DMV, new my license, cars, and more information which was "NOT" all accurate to some degree. Harassed me telling me she was coming for me and everything I owed if I didn't pay what was owed before we finished the phone call. At this point I knew is was a scam, because no one is going to threaten you for 2K. To make matters worse after I hung up on her she started calling my siblings and harassing them!!! Who TF are these people!!!! I would love to sue their MF A$$ for harassing me and my family!

These people are calling me threatening me in regards to a credit card I’ve never owned. They claim I’ve spoken to them and that they have proof blah blah blah. Supposedly it’s a credit card closed in 2009. They refuse to provide account info or mail anything out. Very hostile lady called my husband a mother effer and continued to threaten. Scam

The number came up as local and said RX network (scam 1); it was not a legitimate person (scam 2) and they used my maiden name who I have not been for over 8 years (honestly if I had an outstanding bill that was that old I would have known about it by now). They did not release the name of the company they were calling from and the number they gave was from a different one than they were calling from. So total scam and they can suck it because if I happen to answer one of these days I am more than happy to tell them I died...8 years ago. LOL

Continually contact me about a credit card that is not mine. Gave a different middle name than mine - constantly threaten me. When asked for a mailing address refused to provide it. when asked about the account number or a reference number - refused to provide it. Had my address and the last 4 of my social. And a new phone number that I have not given out to many - and certainly not to a credit card (all cards are paid in full and have a different number).

VM picks up the messages. These people call several times a week and it's always the same automated message. I picked up once about a year ago and they wanted me to call another number to discuss my debt. I have no outstanding debt. They also wanted me to "confirm" my DOB, address, etc...that's a big nope.

I've received several calls from this number. I usually don't get a chance to answer because Verizon picks it up as a spam call and sends them to voicemail. They always leave a voicemail ask for my ex husband who I've been divorced from for over 12 years. Don't even know how they get my number for him. It always ask to call to so that can speak to him about his case. After readying other post about this number, I am assuming it is either a scam or trying to collect a debt that is past the statue of limitations.

The call came from Ft. Payne, AL. I didn't answer it. I got a message to call back at the 800 number and leave the license number and account number. The man they ask for was for a man that had stolen may husbands identity several years ago. We had to get a lawyer to get it straightened out. I don't know what is going on but this is crazy. But I have called back several times and can't get anyone. All it says is mailbox is full, leave number and then there has been and error. So you can't leave a message. I am going to call the BBB. We can't go though this again. It costs to much money for a lawyer.

This number has been calling my place of employment using an automated message. I've selected the option to speak with them on numerous occasions and was directed to voicemail box that was full then receive an error message. Today I get a RUDE lady telling me its regarding a debt with CapitalOne opened in 2012 and closed in 2015, I said how is that even possible I currently have to active accounts with them. She got belligerent so I hung up, she called back said it was noted on my account that I hung up and well....I hung up again. NOTE THAT!!

I answered that it was me to accept the call--wanted to transfer me to a case manager or call an 800 number. I hung up. I have no outstanding debt. I bought a home and a car within the last 6 years, any "bad credit" happened over 20 years ago when I was in college and had all been taken care of so this literally can't be anything real. Nonsense.

Said they were a debt collector collecting on a debt from a 2015 credit card my husband never had. Then on a judgement that my husband paid. We asked to speak to a superior, she said he couldn't because she was his case worker. She also couldn't send him anything in the mail.

I called the 800-218-0275 number back and spoke to the case worker. It was for an old credit card account from 2007. She had my social, birthdate, and name. Stated someone had been trying to locate me. She stated that Barclay bank was trying to collect a debt that I did not pay. She said it was with collection and they report it was not paid. She kept stating we were on a recorded line and that if I agree to pay the amount asking, then she would send me a document to esign so the case would not be filed in court. She sounded pretty convincing. I told her I was going to talk to my attorney and get back to her. I told her the statue of limitation had expired. She said it goes off the date the collection agent reporting the account as refusing to pay which was in 2015 and the statue of limitation is 6 years not 4. I am a little freaked out tht they have all my info. I asked for the full account number to see if I could locate the account but she would only give me 4 digits and stated that once I signed the document and paid that I would get the full account number. Unless I did not pay then they would garnish my wages and the minimum for be 3X's the amount she was asking for. I know everyone says this is a scam, but at their any attorneys that can verify that?

escalaber mediation - I called the 800-218-02xx number back and spoke with several people on different days. The first caller claimed my husband owed on a old credit card back in 2012 and some bank was trying to collect a debit that he did not pay. I tried to explain to her what our situation was since my husband is on a fix income;and my husband health was not that good, since he had a heart attack January of 2020, put on dialysi and broke his hip. The first lady was a little compassionte, but then they had this black helfer called us to do their dirty work. She was very rude and loud, and called me ignorant because I wouldn't agree on what she was saying.She also tried to overtalk me, stating that this was a mediation company. I've been in a situation like this myself, but the company sent out papers explaining everthing to me and I paid that amount off. These are people trying to get you to admitt to paying a certain amount of money to them, which I wouldn't, that's when things got a little ugly between us, calling names mostly on her behalf. they stated that I was being recorded, that I don't care because I always record my phone calls from agency. At firts this freaked me out, but when I went and looked this number up and found that it's a scam, I really became upset. This has been every since 2012 which is the statue of limitation. So hang up or just ignore their calls I can't wait until the next call from the black helfer "Angela" who is so rude and unprofessional and is being used by her white co-workers.

The statute of limitations on the collection of a debt varies by state. If you look at all of the states, it varies from 4 to 6 years. The clock starts ticking on the day you made the last payment on the debt. I would advise to do what I did, as well as many others......ignore these people who are calling.

I have researched and agree with Dave. They can try to collect, but don't fall for it and reset the clock on statutes. That's their ultimate goal. If they can get an action on the account (payment), the clock resets. Block the number

Has called and left automated voice messages on my cell phone several times using my full name stating they need me to call them back to discuss a case. I have no cases or outstanding debt for the past 15 years. I believe it's old debt from a credit card that I didn't pay 20+ years ago. Don't answer or give them the time of day. Statute of limitations is up in 3 years to file in court in most states.

Received a call telling me I owed a CC that closed in 2017. I have been using Credit Karma for the last 8 years and not once does this show up. They were very convincing and even had all the information. The give away was I asked for documents and proof. She said I can only get that in court!
