This is a scam call. They pretend they are DHL customer service. First, the robo said it's my last notice of the package pickup and I pressed 1 for more information. Then a Chinese-speaking male (100% mainlander, cuz I am from Taiwan and I know it) picked up the phone and told me I sent a package with illegal items from NY (I've never been there!) to China. And if I don't take action I will be in great trouble.

It's Chinese speaking. They mentioned that I sent a package from Toronto to Shanghai and the Shanghai custom had reported that It's a package with a book and six credit cards. But I've never been to Toronto, so they said that someone might use my personal info to make a fraud. And they suggested to me that I'd better call the police and ask them to tell the custom that it wasn't me. Well, they did get to me at first, since I just changed my phone number recently. And I DID call the Shanghai police department and they said it's totally a fraud. (The Shanghi police are soooooo RUDE btw) I finally realized that it's a fraud.

Scam call said it's from DHL. Spoken with a lady with a Taiwanese accent. I was told that Chinese custom found a package suspicious, it contains 6 passports and one of them was mine. I stupidly told them my name and then she suggested to me that she can help me to file something for free. I was also told that it was urgent that in 2 hours I would be sued or accused?? by the Guangzhou custom for this action. Then I came to search up this number and saw so many others got a similar scam. Just hang up the phone if you picked up the phone and heard there is an urgent message from DHL. Especially if it says: "to transfer to Chineses services, please press '1.'"

Unfortunately this got blocked by Robokiller and some poor real person had do deal with the 'donald trump' robokiller script. I was expecting a call from this 800 number as my request was for them to follow up on status of an international shipment.

There is definitely a scam company using DHL's number, they are able to mask their number so it looks just like DHL is calling you. 800-225-5345. I received numerous robo-calls that I ignored, before making the mistake of answering (and foolishly giving the caller my full name in Chinese) Caller, speaking in Mandarin, claimed that someone used my name to mail a package from Los Angeles to Guangzhou, China, and the package was intercepted by Chinese customs and found to contain 6 different bank cards for different names. And now they were going to help me connect with Guangzhou customs to report the identity theft. I asked to speak to an English speaker - caller said he was part of a Chinese-language call center in LA and no one could help me in English.. I hung up, and called the DHL number (which he had given me): and talked to a real person from DHL. There is no Chinese-language call center. Plus I found a previous listing on this website of a caller who experienced this exact same scam (6 bankcards). I'm embarrassed because my poor Chinese skills allowed me to get TRICKED!
