This is from the AVANT Fraud Protection team. When they detect a unusual or declined purchase they will check with you to verify that you were the one that made the attempt. In my case someone used my info for a UBER ride in the Netherlands when I live in the USA. It was refreshing to have company reach out to me rather than me being surprised on my monthly statement.

This number is legit, they called to see if I had made 3 purchases today which they had declined- wanted to verify if it was me or not in which it wasnt me so they sending a new card out.

Called to notify of a possible fraudulent charge. I did not answer but fortunately I researched the number and returned their call. Had I not done so the charge would have been considered valid and I would have been responsible for the charge.

They called my cell phone probably because I was going to make a gas purchase with it & it asked for my pin# which I don't know because I never use it for cash. So I just cancelled transaction but they called. I didn't know the number but when I looked it up hereit all made sense the call was legit.

It was determined that fraudulent charges were being made to my card. Caller said they are having issues with Avant credit cards being compromised. I cancelled the card.

This number appears to belong to AVANTCARD (aka WebBank in SLC UT). I had been making an online purchase through a mobile platform and it was declined. A few minutes later, this 800 number called, but I did NOT answer. I then called Avant Card (from the number on the back of my MC) and it does appear that Avant DID try to contact me when I was trying to make the purchase. So this number appears to be legit!
