18002568580 is a legitimate number for CIBC debt management but I also believe that it's being used, somehow rerouted through that number as a scam attempt. I answered and talked to someone claiming to be from Vancouver with CIBC offering a loan with lower interest to take over my visa debt( which is real) but then she gave me a different number that I was supposed to call(18663239970) which I found kinda odd considering they are already debt management. Almost made the mistake of calling them anyway because I has already been able to verify/confirm the first number but my better judgment, thankfully, was still skeptical so I decided to call my branch manager first to see what her opinion was or if she could confirm that it was actually their services. BIG SURPRISE, IT WOULD SEEM THAT THEY ARE SIMPLY INTELLIGENT CRIMINALS ATTEMPTING TO MIRROR A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS. So DO NOT give them any information. If it ends up that I'm wrong about this then branch management and debt management need to have a meeting to discuss how to work together/ transparency with one another.

This is a legit number listed in CIBC's website. They use a really annoying auto-dail system that makes them seem like spam- would be nice if they didn't do that. When I answered, someone did speak with me. When I said I don't have a CIBC account, they confirmed that I wasn't the person they were looking for and are working to take me off their list. They did not ask for any of my personal information. I did recently get a new phone number...maybe it belonged to someone avoiding their debt...

Not sure who or what this was. I answered and immediately got music playing so i just hung up. I will be contacting my financial institution to see if they did indeed try to call me.

They left a voice mail about an urgent matter about my VISA account. I called the CIBC VISA number on the back of the my visa card to ask about the call and my visa account. Can confirm it is an actual CIBC number, I had a past due that a forgot to pay. Call the number on the back of your VISA card, that can confirm it's an actual call from them and logged on your account info that they tried to call you at what time and date.

Call will claim to be CIBC, and will try to get your banking/personal information. Do not give it to them. If you have any doubts about whether or not this is actually CIBC call their customer service line and ask.

It's a fake CIBC call. Checked with Visa, no promotion. Seems like an inside scam to take loans out on people's names.

They actually call from 1-1-800-256-8580. But display shows only 800-256-8580. Definitely a scam attempt!
