This rodent of a company called our business at least 10 times per day or more as multiple people answer the phone at our business. My husband who was so fed up with these calls, decided to press 1 and talk to one of their representatives. They stated that in order to be listed on google that he needed to enroll in their "google" services. They said that our business would no longer be listed if we did not. My husband went ahead and had them enroll our business for a one time fee of 399.99, of course that was with a generous 200.00 discount they had for a limited time. What a bunch of B.S!!!!!!!!! He did it because of fear of losing the google listing as well as to stop the harassment. I called today and told them that I wanted a full refund, that their company is a scam and they are not working for google and that google business listing is free. We are now waiting for a refund. This company is known as "small business directory association" and also known as "Public Reputation". The best part is when I said I wanted our business taken off their call list, she said that we won't get calls from them but that we will still get calls for these services. In other words they won't stop calling, unreal!!! There has to be something done regarding this, one can not run a business being harassed numerous times during the day.

They call our business at LEAST 10 times a day EVERY day. I have asked to be removed off their calling list every single time. After the recorded message you have to press 1 to speak to a live person .. then they try to sell you a 'google update listing' they will call from multiple numbers over and over and over again. Does anyone else think we need to file a class action lawsuit against these people for harassment? Very hard to conduct business with the phone constantly ringing from these calls. They always call on our busiest days too. I keep blocking the numbers they call from and they keep calling from new ones. Someone please make them stop!

Upon answering, a recorded voice, "Do not hang up, your Google Account Needs Verification." I stayed on the line, a live person came on line asking for the owner. I proceeded to verify our business name, address, etc. After a few minutes, the caller said they could increase our web search by assisting us with AdWords. I told him, we already had an AdWords account. I told him, I didn't think I needed his assistance and he transferred me to another person. A second, more assertive representative stated, that he could increase our ranking with Google for a discount price of $199 (a one-time fee). I asked the caller for his number and stated that I would NOT give any credit card information over the phone and asked him to email me a presentation of his offer and the services he was providing for that specific fee. He asked for my email address and said he would stay on the line to make sure I got his email. (Which I never did!) Also, While talking to him, I did a Google search of, "Does Google contact your business for a fee to improve your search ranking" The answer from Google, "Google does not have robot or solicit calls and/or ask for payment to increase ranking." When, I advised the caller of this information, he didn't stop.... he kept talking over me. Finally I said, I feel this is a SCAM and this conversation is no longer productive and we are finished. Before hanging up, I advised the caller to remove our business number from his companies call list and I ended the call.

Rec'd a call from 1-800-266-0219, asking to speak to the owner. I stated he was not in. She said she was calling about our business Google listing. I stated if she would like to leave her name & number I would pass it on to the owner and if he's interested he would call her back. She stated her name was Diana Bell, employee # 110575, her call back # was 1-800-266-0219. Diana said that Google now owner the Yellow Pages and that the business was not claimed or verified. I told her I would pass along the message ..... THEN I immediately Googled THAT number and found THIS site. Needless to say I will not be bothering the owner with any of this - since it's all a SCAM anyway.

These people would consistently call my parent's business using various local numbers. My mom would pick up thinking it was actual customers, but it is an automated machine. Finally she got fed up with it and pushed "1" which directed to a person claiming they worked for Google. He claimed our business page will be taken down from Google if we do not pay for their services. They also claimed they would help the business go to the top of the list when customers search certain keywords. Of course, my parents were scared they were going to get deleted from Google and agreed to pay $349. They made an appointment to have a phone conference in which I was the person that spoke to them. And basically all they would do for $349 was update our google business page such as adding business hours and pictures, which I can do myself. Then he went into more details about how they can add search keywords and how to sync our business with other websites such as yelp, yellow pages, public reputation, etc. for $999!! They never mentioned the search keywords was NOT part of the $349 when they first talked to my parents. Uh no thank you! I told them we do not need their services to update the business hours because I can do that myself and they basically tricked my parents thinking they have the power to delete them from Google. I called the credit card to block any future charges and am waiting for my $349 refund. I think it is very wrong to threaten and harass small business owners claiming they work for Google. This is definitely a lesson learned for my parents! Please do not fall the trap!

Thanks for the info Holly. I found out that the name of the company is Public Reputation, they are in Boca Raton Florida and it is owned by a man named Benny Aboud. It took a while but I finally got one of the robocallers named Bobby to admit to me that the department trying to sell the additional websites for $1,000 like Yelp and Bing is also part of Public Reputation and it is called the "Upsell Department" and it is operated by a guy named Steve Capasso. Hope you get your money back, scam companies like this are why we hardly pick up the phone anymore unless we recognize the number.

Call about our company's Google listing from a machine. When I pressed a key I was transferred to a person who demanded to speak to the owner. I explained that the owner is very rarely in the office but I was the office manager and could handle the listing. He asked when he could call back. I declined and asked instead for a callback number, they gave me this one.

Said he was calling to help me with ad words, updating my listing, etc. Wanted me to pay $399 a "discount" from $499 for whatever service he was offering not sure what it was. Was convincing. Told him I needed to verify with Google or have a call back number the call went down hill from there. I learned after, Google does not: ​charge for inclusion in Google My Business or in Google Search. offer to improve your search ranking or manage your business’s online profile. ask you for your password or verification code. You should never provide sensitive information about your account (like your password and verification code) to a caller. If you receive a robocall—a call placed with a recorded voice—for any of the above reasons, it is not from Google. The Federal Trade Commission has established a Robocalls resources website with additional information about robocalls and steps you can take if you receive one.

Human answered saying that our Google Listing is at risk of being deleted if we don't verify information. Happens to be there is a mistake on our name on the Google Listing and we are trying to fix it. I forwarded the number to the owner and she will follow up. They want to speak to business owner only and its about your google business account. If you don't do business with them, they can take your account away and other various threats. They are from Boca Raton, Fl. 1-800-266-0219. Google does not have a email or phone number to report this & Google won't do anything about it so its an incentive for these criminals to keep doing this behavior. Welcome to the good ole U.S.A. where we don't have the resources to track down criminals and we don't hold people accountable. Un flipping real!

I contacted the CEO of Google and alerted them to this. I also contact BBB and will keep on til the calls stop. I am on the do not call list and I have asked them to stop calling and they do not. I think we all need to get together and file a class action law suit. If we hit them in the pockets maybe that will make them stop!
