I was told the same. But they wanted $280 sent to them. They called 3 times in 1 day. Called the day after then the lady yelled at me for asking to be put on a do not call list. She told me its her job and to stop using my **** number. Ive just been blocking their calls ever since.*

This call from number 1800-266-0597 and 202-770-2098 claims to be from the treasury department from the grants department, agent Kevin Morgan assures that this is not fraud, call the 202 number and an agent with ext. 707 answered as if it was the US Treasury department wanting more information about my self, the scary thing is that these people have all my information as to age, name, address and my information was not release to them. They give you a grant confirmation number and they say is free money in the amount of 9000.00 and you don't have to pay back at all, the way you qualify for this grant is by a survey that appreantly the Government does and you are picked among people that is never late and is a loyalty to you from the us treasury department, a Daniel Smith at Ext. 1107 and is at the federal reserve bank, and you need to activate the confirmation and they even give you a tracking number, they even tell you, you need to pay taxes on the 9000.00 to the federal government, they will send you legal information to the IRS department, and for the activation of the confirmation with a cost of 200.00 they even ask you how long it will take you to get to a place to send money to them, and they ask you if you have 200.00 cash on you to purchase a government approved voucher ID card for the activation of your code. What a scam. Please be aware of this callers like this, what a shame that people use the Federal Government to scam people in the US. If by any chance a government official reads this please take action.

I had the same experience... They kept calling. From different numbers... Told them if I find out who they are I will choke the ever living s*t out of them...

They call...I answer ..hang up...I call .beep right way they hang up...so if you call me why don't you talk to me , I try to answer , why waist my time and yours if won't at least answer and hang up ..lol...oh...it's a scammer ...lol...I just got an IRS call a few hours ago...checking my number ..from 415-877-1373 ...and for you saying advance America I never had that loan and my family doesn't either .
