The caller did not identify himself. He said he wanted to lower my interest rate on my MasterCard. When I asked which MasterCard, he said (though it took me a while before I could understand what he was saying) Capital One. When I told him I didn't have such a card, he switched to lowering my interest on my Sears MasterCard. I had to ask him to repeat "Sears" several times and he was clearly quite annoyed. When I said I didn't have that card either, he hung up on me.

This is literally the cardmember service phone number for usbank visa. If this number calls you it is likely a spoof, but you can call them and it is safe.
