They called my ex-wife, asking for me provided me with a phone number that went to a spam thingy trying to sell me offers when I called the number directly back with the reference number they asked me for a personal information that I did not feel comfortable giving out because I’d already spoke with the company. They caught on quote so they were calling from and I was cleared of any bills. So I gave her basic information like the city I lived in and the month that I was born in apparently that wasn’t enough information for her to gain access. I asked to speak with her manager, conveniently they don’t have managers. Do not field calls from these people. Do not try to pay anything. Do not provide them with any information. More than likely your information was leaked during the data leak that happened a few months ago and they have access to some type of accounts that you’ve had in the past and are trying to get more information from you in order to try to steal your identity

This number called my husband looking for me and said they were a financial service and gave me a reference number. If I owe a debt, why aren't they calling me instead of my husband? I don't trust it so i'm not calling back.

They left a message after calling the second time. After seeing on this site that they were medical debt collectors I was curious if I may have missed a bill. So I called and the rep was courteous and inquired about a different person at my number. They indicated they would update their records. The only way to get off their call list is to answer and correct the record. If I get another call then the rating changes.
