Text message followed by a phone call from this number - said they are from Truist and believe there is fraud on my bank card. The number provided was an account that was closed two years ago. Called my bank to verify this is indeed a scam.

I received a voice mail about Fraud on my CC with a case number and this number to call. After confirming I did have Fraud on that care, I called it and thought it was a scam so I hung up. I called Truist and was forwared to the Fraud folks. They said that the call did come from them (Chargeback Credit Service).

Robocall voicemail saying suspicious activity on credit card. Left case # and said to call them back. Instead I called the real Truist bank phone number and they had no record of a fraud alert on my credit card. This seems to be a scammer pretending to be Truist Bank. Don't call them back! Call the number off the back of your card, or call your local bank branch instead.

Received a fraud alert, but when I called the 800 number, they said could not access account using my telephone number and asked me to enter the telephone number they called me on, I was using my work phone, which is also the number they called me on- i checked my account settings and I do not have my work phone listed as number to contact me on, THIS IS A SCAM

BBT SCAMMER - Says Fraud but not really BBT (Scam call) reported by


Several very small .01 to .48 charges made to my credit card (all pending). Caller says they are with BBT fraud, wants to know if these are charges you made, you say no, they say they are locking your account and sending a new card. Then they proceed to tell you they will send a text and they need to know the code to prove it is you. I immediately hung up and called BBT directly. They confirmed this is a scam used. Luckily I didn't fall for it! BBT never asks you to tell them the codes you send. If you give the caller the code they have then gained access to your account and will make true large purchases. My card was canceled by the real BBT and those charges are being declined. Don't fall victim. When in doubt, pull out your card and call them directly.
