Credit Card Terminal Scam (Robocall) reported by


727-395-4000 just called our business. Caller ID showed up as "Credit Card". Yeah, like that didn't scream Scam and Spoofed Number. The illegal robocall spiel went as follows, "Hello, your business may qualify to receive a free upgrade of your credit card terminal to a POS management system quantities are limited. So please call 1-800-309-0524 to claim your free point of sale system again. That number again is 1-800-309-0524. Thank you." Blocking BOTH numbers immediately.

They asked for a specific name (a higher up in our company) and told me that they need to talk to her to update services. Our actual processor never calls us over the phone, just uses mail. This is not the first time that they have called us.

Definitely a scam call. They called on a Saturday late afternoon when most people don't work stating we had been fined and should call them back.
