He told me that in order to be taken off of the automatic renewal for 5 yrs. I would have to give my address and then speak to a supervisor. I refused.

Claimed to be debt collector for made up debt (Scam call) reported by


Claimed to be a debt collector for a debt based on five womens magazines supposedly sent to an address not too far from where I actually live. When I stated, and repeated, that we do not have any magazine subscriptions the caller said they would just swnd the debt to collections then. I hung up. Go ahead and send it. I do not owe this (supposed) debt and will be reporting the call.

The number called and my significant other's name showed up on the caller ID. They had my information to my old address and asked if my order had arrived. I said I didn't order anything and they said that it was a different company that places the orders and they ship them out, but we would be billed soon anyways. No information other than their company name, "Reader distributors", was given.
