“Henry” with heavy Indian accent was calling about my computer. When I told him in not the nicest way that I knew this was a scam, he then told me my address, and said he would be showing up at my doorstep to “f_ _k” me and inflict other pain. I hung up, but unnerved that they have my address..

DELL Concierge scammer (Telemarketer) reported by


Just like JT., on 9/13/2017, "Ch." phoned from this number , said she was from DELL Concierge service (Which is a great service that I subscribe to). She told me they had detected problems and used ANTI-SPYWARE PRO software to scan my computer revealing 4711 "errors". She then passed me over to an Indian guy who masqueraded under the name "Mark Pinto", who pretended to fix the errors.(Should have realized at that point it was a scam). He had a different "direct" number 847 201-4455 . , but they mimicked the whole Dell Concierge routine so well that I fell for it. Even the Case Number they gave me "948568754" is like all nine-digit case numbers Dell uses (and they usually begin with a "9"). They then mimicked the whole Paypal, CVS Walmart routine exactly as they did with Mr T.. When you try to register the Itunes cards they have already been emptied by the scammers. I too lost $300. I was advised by Dell to contact the Federal Trade Commission on 1-877-382-xxxx, which I am doing.

Antivirus Software (Telemarketer) reported by


I was called by an Indian guy yesterday 9/8/2017 from telephone number 8004252067, stating he works for DELL and is promoting an Apple Antivirus Software and he would sell it to me at a discounted rate of $ 200.00 for life time membership for up to 5 computers. In the beginning I hesitated but later he convinced me that this products is a new product & best in line in the market today & its on sale only today 9/8/2017 for $ 200/. I later agreed to buy the software and when I went to pay for it using my credit card, he said that he does not accept credit cards and to pay him using Paypal. I agree to pay him then & he took access of my two lab tops & one desk top and started installing the antivirus software in my computer. Then he got logged into pay pal and asked me to enter my login & password, which I did, not even thinking for a second that I was scammed. He then bought $ 100 of Itunes card & when he tried to buy the second $ 100 card, PalPay rejected the second purchase. He then told me, in order to complete that transaction, I need to go to Waltmart, CVS, Target or any other store and buy two Itunes cards worth $ 100 each and he would return $ 100 which was charged using Paypal in the next 4 to 5 hours. I went to Walmart and bought two $ 100 cards and when he called me back I gave him the serial number for both that cards. He later said that the two cards are not good & he would pay $ 200 back to me even though the card were not good & I need to buy two more itunes cards from CVS or Target and not to buy from Walmart. I said okay to him & as I was about to leave my home, I thought to myself, this could be a SCAM. I called Itunes customer service & they said both the cards have already being cashed. He tried to call me back but I did not pick up the phone. In the meantime I lost $ 100 at Paypal & $ 200 purchasing Itunes cards from Walmart. Do any of you know, how or if I can recover my money back, totaling $ 300/- Thanks & Best Regards.
