claim that from hp and have been monitoring my computer. said they have tried to send me warnings but i never responded and now my computer will crash if i don't let them help me fix it. They send you to event viewer to make you believe that there really is a problem but all that really shows is normal functions of the computer (per the real HP support when I called them)They are unable to provide any identifying information about my laptop like the real hp support is always able to do when you call them. They want you to let them connect to your computer. I never let them connect, thank goodness.

Received call in the PM, stating computer was being monitored and HP had discovered that my DeskTop was downloading and forwarding malicious software. When asked why they were monitoring my PC, she stated that I needed to access PC so she could let me know what files were malicious. Advise not by PC, gave me bogus number that was disconnected when I attempted to call later in the eve. Called HP and they did not solicit anyone to call customers and they never monitor PCs unless working with the customer to locate and repair system issues.

Called three times today with no message left. Previous post about possible HP India connection is good and I am willing to bet its Indian scammers trying to sell 'hp' services that are never offered unsolicited
