I keep getting called from this collection company asking me to call them back to discuss someone else's debt. This is so illegal, you can't call someone for someone else's debt.

didn't answer phone because it was unknown number. female agent left voicemail asking that I return the call, provided a case number to reference and that it was about some person I have never heard of before. This is now the second phone call. I blocked the last number and will do so again with this number.

Someone called and left me a message saying that a person(whom I dont even know) had used me for a reference and to call back. So I called, and he person answered saying that it is Pioneer Debt collection agency. She knew my name before I said it, which means now my phone number is in their system. I told her I dont know the person. She said she would remove my name. When I asked what it was about, she said "we are handling a personal matter for her and it shows you as a reference." I dont know any collection agency that has people put references down. She was wanting me to tell her where this person is or have info to help locate her.
