Just received a call from a woman with an Indian accent telling me also that my Gmail account has been hacked and is sending threatening email to people in Texas, California and Florida. I didn't give her a chance of asking for personal information. I simply told her "she was full of *hit and I don't believe a word you are saying". These people really **** me off.

some guy i think from india or whatever called saying he needed access to my email cause it was apparently sending random emails to people from california and texas florida newyork and dagsboro. Dagsboro isnt a state its a town in the state of Delaware. so i new this call was a complete scam he then demanded access to my email and i said no.

Attempting to confirm my email address (Scam call) reported by


This number keeps calling me as well and when I finally answered the phone. The guy on the other end had a thick Indian accent and was attempting to verify my email address. He mentioned my name and I never confirmed my name on the line so, then I asked who am I speaking too in which he never answered. He then tried to verify my email address in which I told him the email address that he is confirming is NOT mine and after two attempts of badgering me to confirm my email address he hung up the line. Even though the email address was correct I was not confirming with this guy over the phone who didn’t want to confirming his identity. We all should be careful with people calling you over the phone and attempting to get into your business without confirming who they are and what company they are calling from because **** are getting more slick as technology grows.

Caller with foreign accent said, "Your yahoo account is being hacked. What is your social security number?" I answered "I'll go to the library and take care of it." Then the guy asks, "don't you have a computer at home?" I answered, "thank you" and hung up.

Some guy calling to claim my email had been comprimised. (Scam call) reported by


It was some guy calling saying that my email had been compromised. I told him I would contact him back if he gave me his name, his phone number and his extension. After giving me all the information I asked him for, I contacted my email service provider. I spoke to an agent via chat online, and they informed me that they would never contact me by phone and request my information in order to aid me if my email had ever been hacked. Needless to say, I have been ignoring that phone call since.

Same issue here. Exact same issue except that I refused to give them information and called my niece who told me it was a phisher or hacker calling.

Trying to get into emai (Scam call) reported by


Sounded like an India accent. Had my first and last name. He said he was with AT&T's abuse department and that AT&T was receiving complaints that my email was being used for harassing and threatening emails. I asked what email was he talking about and how did he get my number. He disconnected and I heard an automated message "you have been kicked out of the conference call". There was a lot of static noise and echoing during the call.
