Scam call about Canada Post parcel and arrest warrant (Scam call) reported by


Agent said there was a parcel seized by Canada Post that contained drugs and some money, and that there was an arrest warrant for me. Agent was speaking with a heavy accent, kept saying this was from PSC, then story went about how I allegedly have multiple bank accounts at various banks, and failed to pronounce Desjardins correctly. I called back the PSC number, spoke to a legit agent who confirmed this was a scam call (he also did not sound surprised when I gave a brief description of the scam call)

they tell you your sin number is in trouble and say to press 1. Then a person picks up the call and starts asking all questions and starts threatening for you to pay or you will have to go to jail. Crazy also got the same call on a local number 204-599-6454

Robo call that warns misuse your Sin #then trnsfer u to staff (Unsolicited call) reported by


I recieved a robo call from 18004619999 which warned me being liable legally due to somebody misused my Sin # made my life very easy to press 1 to talk with an investigator, within 2 seconds I was with the real scammer who was confident enough. Until he requested my name I was totally thinking he is canada service staff but heaven saved me and stopped me giving him my Sin #, when I asked him how can I make sure you are a canada service staff, he started to speak in a top confident manner then I realized the noise level is so high more than a fish market, here I realized the game, and he started to be more pushy, I told him I will call back myself to service canada to report the misuse of my Sin, then he started to push more and asking me if I have the correct details of calling service canada at that môment I was sure it's a fraud and hanged up with them... The concern is, yes I gave my Sin to a new employer 2 days back which made me for a while to accept their lies and I thought for a while that it could be true "someone may misused my sin#"... Becarful don't allow them to cheat you.

I tapped 1 as instructed, then the guy (with a heavy probably indian accent) who is calling me asks "how can I help you?" first flag. Then he asks for my name and SIN, I said I shouldn't give my SIN over the phone, you're the one calling me. he hung up. How is it possible that these scammers are not immediately detected and arrested? It looks like the same thing has been going on for a year or so.

The machine talked to me 1st with an English accent, it said I had something to do with my SIN. I wanted to know so I pressed 1 as it instructed. Then, one person with a non-Canadian accent talked to me, asked my name. my name is complicated so he hung up the phone.
