The number came up on the Caller ID as belonging to PECO energy, however, they called at about 02:00 AM, and since the power wasn't out, I suspect something fishy here. It would be illegal for PECO to make a telemarketing call at that hour, was well as anybody else for that matter. I've never received an unsolicited phone call from PECO in the past, except to inform me that my power had been restored, and they never called in the early morning hours like that. I suspect it was some company using an illegal box to fool the caller ID.

The caller (foreign) kept insisting he was calling from PECO. He didn't have my correct last name or my address. I kept insisting that if they were actually calling from PECO, they would know my address. Then a supervisor came on to verify that it was PECO. THEN they transferred me to another line where i was to answer questions and NOT ask any. The TRANSFER was to PECO to approve a change in my provider service to a discount provider - that's when i heard the actual name of the company that was calling. I hung up. They called me back telling me i hung up. So i told them that they lied and i wasn't interested in any more communications with them! This was all BS!!! Go directly to PECO's website for options to change providers. DO NOT believe these callers.
